Prof. Abdelmoneim Taha Ahmed is the Director General and Head Monitoring and Evaluation, Agricultural Research Corporation, Sudan. Before appointment as Director General, professor Taha was the Diretor of the Agricultural Economics and Policy Research Center, ARC, Sudan, and a senior researcher. He has over 30 years working experience in agricultural economics and policy analysis. Prof. Taha holds a Doctorate in agricultural economics from the Purdue University – USA, a Master of Science in agricultural economics also from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from University of Khartoum Sudan. Prof. Taha has a regional professional experience and served as: Technical Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation – Monitoring, Evaluation, Analysis and Planning Unit (MEAPU), Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in East and Central Africa (ASARECA), Uganda; Socioeconomist, Agricultural Sector Management Support Project, ARCADIS EUROCONSULT BV, Yemen. Prof. Taha has a good track record of research in Program management (planning, monitoring and evaluation) and development and analysis of agricultural / food value chain.
