Ms. Regina Kayitesi
Ms. Kayitesi is a value chain and agribusiness professional with vast experience in Agriculture extension, post-harvest management and food technology, both from the private sector perspective. She represents the Private sector in the Board. She holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development and Food Security from Van Hall Larenstein University, the Netherlands and a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology from Kigali University of Science and Technology (KIST), Rwanda. She is currently working in the East African Community, which she joined after serving at COMESA. Prior to joining COMESA, Ms Kayitesi worked at the Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock (Private Sector Federation) as the Membership and Marketing Manager; Linking Farmers to Markets Project in the Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock as the National Project Coordinator; KILIMO TRUST headquarters in Kampala, Uganda as the Technical Assistant; and the Rwanda Horticulture Development Authority (now National Agriculture Development Board) as the Compliance and Quality Specialist for Fresh Produce.
