Mr Bryan John Denis Elwich
National Focal Person for ASARECA, Republic of South Sudan
Mr. Bryan John Denis Elwich works in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Directorate of Research in the Government of South Sudan as a Research Scientist (Plant Breeder). Mr. Elwich has more than five years’ progressive professional experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, Plant Breeding, designing field layout, data/entries collection, and training of farmers. He holds an MSc degree in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, University of Juba, Khartoum, Sudan. In his current portfolio, Mr. Elwich undertakes a series of roles including: Supporting senior researchers in the field, laying out experimental designs, data collection, data analysis and reporting; carrying out adaptive trials, especially evaluation of breeding lines; building capacity of farmers to facilitate uptake of agricultural technologies through practical field demonstrations; and disseminating new agricultural technologies.
