Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development
Hon. Franklin Mithika Linturi is the Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development in Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi. Prior to this he was a member of Kenya’s National assembly and Senate. He is spearheading the nations policy direction towards agricultural transformation which is underscored by global obligations and key policy initiatives including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Kenya’s Vision 2030 economic development blueprint. The Government is implementing the Agriculture Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy (ASTGS), which aims at transforming agriculture by involving modernization of on-farm production and shifting production towards more climate smart solutions.
