Hon. Hussein Mohamed Bashe

Hon. Hussein Mohamed Bashe, is the Minister of Agriculture for the United Republic of Tanzania. Before elevation to the position of Cabinet Minister, he was the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, a position he held from 2020 to up to January 2022, when he was elevated. Hon. Hussein Mohamed Bashe is a seasoned Tanzanian politician belonging to the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party. He has served as Member of Parliament for Nzega Urban constituency since 2015 until his current appointment. His political career spans back to 2005, when he became active in CCM serving the party at various levels from the local to national levels as: Member-General Meeting of Central Council; Secretary Economic Affairs and Finance-Nzega Magharibi; Member of District Executive Committee Nzega District; Member of CCM National Congress Nzega District; Member of Regional Executive Committee in Tabora Region. He has a Bachelors of Business Administration degree, specializing in Marketing.
