Dr. Negusse Abraha

Dr. Negusse Abraha is the Director for the Crop Improvement Division, National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI), Eritrea. Before elevation to this position, he was the head of the Staple Crop Research Unit for NARI. Dr Negusse has an MSc. in Plant Breeding and Genetics. As a senior maize and pearl millet breeder, he has undertaken evaluation of the performance of landraces and introduced materials. Every year, his program provides the extension staff fresh seed as backup to the already released varieties.
