Dr Jacqueline Rakotoarisoa
National Focal Person for ASARECA in Madagascar
Dr Jaqueline Rakotoarisoa is the Scientific Director of Centre National de Recherche Appliquée au Développement Rural (FOFIFA/CENRADERU). She holds a Doctorate in Plant Physiology and a degree in Agricultural Engineering. She has been a researcher in FOFIFA since 1981 where she rose through the ranks and became the Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the Scientific Directorate, Head of the Rice Research Department, and Coordinator of the Research Unit on Sustainable Cropping and Rice Farming Systems. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the SPGRC and of a Project Steering Committee member of the INTERREG V Network of the European Union Indian Ocean.
