Dr. Eliud Kiplimo Kireger
Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO)
Dr. Eliud Kiplimo Kireger is the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO). Prior to this appointment, he served as the Managing Director/CEO of the Tea Research Foundation of
Kenya as well as a Member of the Board of Management of Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) where he chaired the Audit committee. Dr. Kireger attained his PhD in Plant Eco-physiology from the University of Wales, (UK); an MSc in Genetics and Tree breeding from University of Toronto (Canada); and a BSc in Forestry from Moi University (Kenya). He has received distinguished awards from the following organisations to undertake studies: The Australian International Development Agency, to train for a Certificate in Change Management Projects for Poverty Reduction through Action Learning and Research Methodology at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa; the Association of Commonwealth Universities, to undertake Doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Wales, United Kigdom (1999); and the International Centre for Research in Agroforestry to train in Agroforestry Research in Nairobi, Kenya (1995). Dr. Kireger has also trained in Conflict Management and Resolution, Strategic Leadership, Company Directorship and Change Management among others.
