Fall Armywarm Regional Conference

ASARECA in collaboration with FAO will host a Regional Strategy workshop on Fall Armyworm (FAW) for Eastern and Central Africa (ECA) from September 18-21, 2017 in Entebbe, Uganda. The objectives of the workshop are to discuss effective and rational management and control of FAW, strengthen linkages and information exchange among stakeholders and create awareness on FAW among countries in ECA. The workshop is also expected to review and validate ECA sub-regional emergency response plan and develop an action research strategy/proposal on FAW for possible funding. Virtual Irrigation Academy (VIA) planning workshop

ASARECA will participate in the annual review and planning workshop for the Virtual Irrigation Academy project. The meeting will take place in Iringa, Tanzania from July 17-21, 2017. Proceedings for the BBSRC workshop on sustainable intensification of agricultural systems in sub-Saharan Africa

The BBSRC workshop, funded through the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), was held at the Biosciences Eastern and Central Africa-International Livestock Research Institute (BecA-ILRI) Hub, Nairobi, Kenya from 13 to 15 March 2017.
